How can I become an accountant if I already completed my Bachelor’s in liberal arts?
I completed 4 years of college with a B.A. in economics. How can I become an accountant, CPA? Do I have to redo my undergraduate studies in accountancy? Can I do a graduate program? Or is there a certification process? FYI, I live in Illinois. Thanks!

First be sure that you want to be an accountant. I am real good at math, but I am taking an accounting class now, and I suck at it. It is like a totally different world. If you don’t get it, you’ll get frustrated and fail. 11 out of 30 of my classmates got an “F” on the first test. Just be sure that is what you want to do before diving into it.
Sorry, I know that is a terrible answer.

rm0475,
what is so different about what you thought it would be like? I am also a liberal arts major and have some basic accounting skills. I want to take a class as well.
