What happens to all the money the BBC make from selling DVDs and shows abroad ?

What happens to all the money the BBC make from selling DVDs and shows abroad as well as screening their channels around the world ?

Is the licence fee really justified any more ?

I bought millions and millions of barrels of oil when they cost $60–$100 a barrel. I expect to make a kill when I sell. But right now it’s only over $140 a barrel. So here is my difficulty:

I have requested my agents spin the media, like: “Oil future looks high, expecting to be in the range of $200 a barrel soon” But it does not work price up fast enough.

I have paid the mainstream media, the Think Tanks, and the major PR talking heads, to spin China and India (supply and demand) responsible for price hike, to deflect American public anger. But that does not go far enough.

Right now, I am extremely nervous and worried. I urgently need a prey to buy those “paper barrels” on my hording. So I can profit. But where can I find my prey ?

Good question I had never thought of that, I would assume it goes in the silk lined pockets of the over paid directors, it’s a profit sharing system but only applies to everyone above the rank of managing director, other than i haven’t a clue.

it all goes back to reinvestment to fund other bbc projects. more channels bbc hd and online etc. but some money will go to the producers and writers and actors of tv projects dependent on contracts. wouldnt be enough to pay for the bbc network itself. they would still need license fee funding.

It goes to pay for the production of those DVDs and for the salaries of all the correspondents and presenters. The BBC World Service does not have any advertisements, so it doesn’t earn advertising income.
