you can request payments into any bank account you which, she must fill in the forms but it would be better if she opens her own account then you and she can keep your money separate. Are you intending to take her wages out of the account for her or is she getting her own debt card for the account. You need to think carefully how she will have access to her money.

You can ask, but if I was the employer, I would refuse. The contract is between the employer and the employee. If the wages were paid to someone else, what’s to stop the employee claiiming she hasn’t had the money, or for you to spend it all?

I work in a payroll department and we disallow payments to other people except in an emergency situation.
It can cause all sorts of issues regarding money laundering, tax avoidance etc. Many people use their earnings to claim benefits and if your wages are being paid to someone else, it’s easy to avoid declaring them and get more benefits.
Not that i am saying your mum is but you need to have a rule that works for everyone.
In any case ,get her to ask her employer, they will be able to tell you what their policy is.
