Is it possible to cash a cheque in America without an American Bank Account?
I recieved a cheque for several hundred dollars that I would like to cash before I return home to Ireland next week. Is there anyway to do it without a bank account?

The overall answer is no. You need a bank Account to cash a check. But you probably could open one, it only takes a few minutes and would be worth it to cash the check. The other alternative would be to cash the check at a pawn shop. Many pawn shops will cash your check, but the downside to that is that they take a percentage of the worth as a fee, whereas a bank would do it for free. Good Luck.
