How much would it cost to contract an ACCOUNTANT for a couple weeks each year?

I have a business and want to make sure everything is in tact for the IRS. I came up with the idea of hiring a Accountant for a couple weeks to straighten out my book keeping and statements. Is this a good idea and how much would it run? I am the type who would go back to college just to have it done right and who also feels them tricky account software programs will not fulfill all areas that i want to cover. HELP business professors, business owners, and accountants!

    You can get a temp accountant to come in from time to time.

    The accounting firm where my fiancee works charges clients about $250/hour to work on their taxes, but it is then written off as a business expense. They also work with larger corporations, so I don’t know if they’d charge a small business the same.
