How comes that more money has been taken from my bank account after adding funds to the PS3 PlayStation store?

I added £5 to the PlayStation store on the PS3 and for some reason more money seems to have been taken out of my bank account. My account balance was £83.98, I put £5 on the PlayStation store and then I looked at my account balance again and it said that I had £72.97 left in my bank account. (-£11.01)

What do you think has happened?

Are you sure you didn’t buy something else? Like does it specifically say the money went to psn?

Are you sure the amount taken out of your account was from the PSN Store? Your account should tell you exactly how much was taken out and by who, which means if the PSN took out more than five pounds, it will tell you this.

If the PSN did take out more than what you clicked on, did you buy something? Maybe what you bought cost more then the five pounds you originally took out, and the PSN had to take out the additional to make up the difference.

All account transactions are sent to your e-mail account. Check you e-mail account and see what the e-mails say. If they say they have taken more then you authorized, then you will know it was the PSN Store. If it hasn’t, then you will know it was for another reason.

You can always call and find out why the amount was taken out by calling your bank, or by calling SCEE, which you should have a number for in your bank account transactions. The number in the US is different, so I can’t give you the direct number to the PSN Store in Europe.
